The Bangor School Department has set Parent/Teacher Conferences in grades K-12 for November 20th and 21st.
At James F. Doughty School this year, all students in grades 6-8 are invited to participate in the conferences. Students, along with the parent and the teacher, will have an opportunity to share at the conferences. Teachers will be reviewing your child’s performance and you, as a parent, also can offer your input. This format, where students are active participants stimulates conversation around the role of the student in the learning process and builds a strong sense of pride in learning.
On Monday, November 20th, conferences will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. On Tuesday, November 21st, conferences will be held from 8:00 a.m. – 11:30 a.m., 12:00 – 3:00 p.m., and 4:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. Grades 6, 7, and 8 conferences will be held in teacher classrooms, as will art, music, foreign languages and special education. Physical education teachers will be available to conference in their offices located in the gymnasium. All conferences are “drop-in” conferences and do not require scheduling in advance.
The faculty and staff look forward to conferencing with you and your child during one of the periods set for conferences.
