Students in Mrs. Edward’s room are working on using more descriptive language in narrative writing and are focus was on strong, vivid verbs. Each desk had a paper with a plain verb on the top, and the students had 45 seconds to come up with as many new verbs as they could before finding another desk. We then shared out and are going to use this brainstorming for word choice posters. Students truly enjoyed this active lesson as a way to improve their writing skills!
