Classes all around the Doughty School are off to a fast and engaing start this year!
Students in Mrs. McPhee’s classes had to earn their way into a lockbox on the first day of school. Small groups worked together to find and solve a series of puzzles that ultimately led them to discover the combination to a lock. When all four locks were open we were able to retrieve the classroom expectations, and maybe a treat!
Meanwhile, downstairs in Mrs. Kennedy’s class, students competed in a scavenger hunt to become familiar with the different spaces in the classroom such as the president’s corner, the essential question board, country of the week, and more.
In Mrs. Fahey’s room, students worked to explore the globe using Maps 101. All around the building faculty and students are working together to get the 2017-18 school year off to a great start!
