Don’t forget we collect Box Tops. Students may drop off Box Tops in front of the main office.
Last year, our Boosters Club supported JFDS in the following ways:
May/June: In May, Boosters provided a delicious lunch and raffle with prizes for the entire staff during Teacher Appreciation Week. In June, we say goodbye to our eighth graders as they move up to the high school, and we welcome our incoming fifth graders from Fairmount School. Boosters will be lend a hand at both the Grade 5 Pancake Breakfast, as well as the 8th Grade Dance.
February/March: Our school’s Box Tops effort, led by Mrs. Roberts-Prior, has raised over $75.00 so far thanks to the friendly homeroom competition she organized during March. We thank all of the students and families who have contributed, and hope everyone continues to collect Box Tops throughout the summer.
November: The Boosters thank all of the families, faculty, neighbors and friends, who so kindly donated items for our first yard sale fundraiser held in November. The sale was a great success, raising close to $900 in just a few hours. More than 100 people came through the doors, and left with arm loads of items from the sale.
November: The Boosters showed their appreciation for the entire James F. Doughty faculty by purchasing sandwiches and snacks on the first night of Parent/Teacher conferences in November. The teachers expressed their sincere gratitude for this treat as it gave them a chance to gather, and ready themselves to meet students and their families.
September/October: Thank you to the parents who donated items and manned the concessions tables at the fall sporting events this year. This effort managed to raise an amazing $361 dollars.
